Kitchen Floor Update

Let’s face it, most people have that one area in your home that can use a little update, right?  For some it might be the wall color, the bathroom decor, or in the case of one our crew, the kitchen floor.

We’ve began using an awesome new product called Elite Crete to finish floors.  This system can be applied to concrete or wood floors and gives an amazing finish!  The process is fairly simple, with the key being time to allow for each step to cure.  Here’s a quick summary of the process.

• First step is to prepare the floor.  Make sure it is free from debris, smooth, and of course clean.
• Step two  is to apply primer.  Once the primer is dried, a thin layer of slurry mix is applied and allowed to cure overnight.
• Next steps are to  apply a layer of 100% solid epoxy, followed by a color coat, and finally a polyurethane clear coat for a brilliant shine. We allow for dry time between each layer that is applied.
