can custom coatings provide references?

Colorful Insights

Our experts at Custom Coatings are often asked whether or not we can provide references that would verify the quality of our work.

We are always happy to provide recent references to our potential customers. Anytime you are hiring a contractor, one of the easiest ways to determine whether or not they are reputable is to ask them for at least three references with phone numbers.

You should always call the references. Ask them about how the job went. Talk to them about how the communication was between them and the contractor, and really try to determine if there was anything that the reference was uncomfortable with or disappointed in.

This can also be a helpful way to understand some of the details you were given in your estimate, and whether or not the services provided were of the same or higher quality than what was advertised and promised.
In addition to being able to provide references, we always suggest that you ask about whether or not the contractor provides a detailed written contract. This contract is in place to protect you, the homeowner, and to ensure that the contractor delivers as promised in every way possible.

What’s more, you should also ask if your contractor is insured. Most homeowners insurance policies don’t cover contractor accidents or injuries while performing a job at your home. That is why the most reputable contractors carry at least two different types of insurance – Workman’s Compensation Insurance and General Liability Insurance.

Your contractor should be licensed in the city in which you live, and possibly in your state (North Carolina does not require a contractor to be licensed by the state, but many of its cities have “privilege license” requirements).

Our experts at Custom Coatings are fully insured and licensed, we always provide detailed written contracts, and we would look forward to working with you. Just call us at 828-326-0953 and let us help you with your next paint job.
